About Nica HOPE

Nica HOPE: Managua / Washington D.C.; Nica HOPE is a new nonprofit that seeks to provide education and vocational training to impoverished communities in Nicaragua. Current projects focus on the Managua City trash dump community of La Chureca, where hundreds live off the piles of waste of the capital city Follow our progress to learn how you can contribute.

Project Goals

Increased access to opportunities and tools for Nicaraguans from impoverished communities to improve their own lives through education, job-training, and income-generation
Development of an entrepreneurial workforce equipped with vocational training, critical thinking skills, business knowledge, and strong work ethics and values
Increased coordination and cooperation among organizations involved in vocational training, education provision, and poverty alleviation in the target communities
